About the Event
Class Description
Students will enjoy this informative, hands-on woodturning class. All equipment, tools, safety gear, and wood are provided. Faceplate turning, spindle turning, and off-center turning will be explored in a supportive and well-equipped shop environment.
Each student has their own dedicated lathe and set of tools. The shop includes professional sharpening stations, band saws, a drill press, and a dust collection system. The wide variety of tools gives students the opportunity to experience differences in tool design and performance, helping them make informed future tool and equipment purchases.
I tailor the class to each individual’s needs, skill level, and goals.
Students will complete several projects during the class, including at least one smooth-rim bowl. Coffee, water, and snacks are provided.
Students are welcome to arrive at 8:45 AM for coffee. Class runs from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day.
